With more than 30 test dummies (ATDs), we can test a wide range of occupant sizes. Our ATD lab includes a 5th percentile female, 50th percentile males, and 95th percentile males, as well as a variety of child and infant sizes.

FABRICATION AND TEST PREPARATION

CAPE has a two-bay fabrication shop staffed with trained professionals. We prepare cabs for testing and mount imagers, data acquisition equipment and ATDs in cabs without compromising the integrity of the cab structure. With refined attention to detail, we carefully apply high-contrast paint to parts for better visibility during testing. Our technicians follow an extensive pre-test check list for each operation. This detailed list assures reliability, safety and quality control.

TEST IMAGING AND DATA ACQUISITION

By defining your testing objectives in advance, we have the flexibility and expertise to provide the maximum results for your efforts. Tell us what you need to see during the test, and our experienced professionals will place real-time cameras and high-speed imagers to give you the best data possible. Our high-speed imaging systems capture from 30 to 2,000 frames per second for detailed analysis of motion throughout each test. We can mount imagers at nearly any position to provide the digital images you need. We utilize a wide range of load sensors. CAPE's data acquisition systems and programmed post-test data processing provide preliminary graphing at the time of the test.

VIDEO EDITING / DELIVERY

CAPE can package your testing video into a comprehensive and professional package for viewing either on DVD or VHS. CAPE has two AVID video editors that have the ability to combine many camera angles and footage into a sigle video.

DATA DELIVERY AND REPORTING

At CAPE, all testing and reporting is completely confidential. Tests are conducted, and the data compiled and delivered without prejudice, judgment or interpretation. We can supply the raw data for your analysis or provide a formal report.

Our advanced data handling technology allows for immediate viewing of test results, on-site and at a remote location. Visitors enjoy our fully appointed, comfortable observation rooms, where they can view the proceedings and see test result data following each event. Preliminary data is provided on a CD for customers to take with them on the day of the test.

We can post data to a secure FTP location for consultation with individuals located off-site. This allows for adjustments or revisions to future tests within minutes, rather than waiting weeks for results only to find out that the data is not exactly what you needed.

Your test results, including photography, data files, data summary and full report, are delivered via hard copy, CD, FTP site and/or VHS tapes within a few days of the test. Each CD containing high-speed digital images also includes Image Express motion analysis software for use in analyzing test results.

CONFIDENTIAL OBSERVATION ROOM

At CAPE, we plan and conduct tests to your specifications and provide prompt confidential reporting to meet your unique needs. Our observation room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology allowing you to review the events captured by digital imagers and a data acquisition system immediately after the test.
