ROLLOVER TESTING

CAPE's custom rollover machine was designed to simulate a lateral roll about a fixed tire ground contact point. This unique machine measures roll position and velocity and impact g's as digital imagers document occupant kinematics.

This repeatable test can be set up for near and far side roll occupant orientations. For comprehensive testing, CAPE offers a specialized rollover test dummy (ATD) designed from a BioSID ATD with arm, rib and shoulder sensors to measure lateral impact data.

The rollover machine can be rolled at a rate comparable to a snap roll or a trailer-induced roll on commercial vehicles, as well as some military equipment and off-road machinery.
